Look what I found yesterday in my old diabetes supplies drawer........ an original Novopen, and my blood test meter from the late 80's!! There's a blast from the past.

I've still got two of those Novopens. I loved them so much when I was using them that I can't bear to part with them - even though it's been almost 10 years since I used one.
I'm secretly hoping that Symlin will come out in cartridges that fit the Novopen, then I can start using it to make the Symlin shots easier.
I have an OLD Novopen 1.5 that no one makes cartidges for anymore. Yet I still have it. Close by. As in "in my purse."
I need to accept change more readily. ;)
I love the bracelet!! I am going to try the same - I think I can fancy it up a bit....and yes change with the season! :)
Thanks for the pic!!
I too LOVED those pens.
I had the little clip on the black plastic case super glued on after several years of it bouncing around in my backpack.
The little slots for a new cartridge and 3 new needles, and counting the half-clicks and full-clicks...
Those were the days!
I remember hating the "new" ones they made with the dial. I think it was part of the reason I finally decided to go on a pump. I knew I couldn't use this beloved pen forever! A silly reason, I know, but I think honestly it was one of the more salient ones.
If I remember, correctly, they were rather heavy for their size: Kerri, you should consider cleaning out your purse!
